Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe – January 15th, 2022

Another successful Moonlight Event with a strong turnout and lots of volunteers to help out. You knew people were having fun with the sounds of laughter and spontaneous group howling.

The chosen ski route was perfectly groomed and the moon was visible for the most part. The snowshoers broke into groups lead by our member volunteers and a few groups ventured out on their own.

Hi Dianne, Thank you for the RSVP for snowshoeing. There is currently a waitlist for the Masters program. I do not know future plans for a second session this season. Best would be to sign up on the waitlist https://kelownanordic.com/club-activities/skiing-lessons/. Kindly, Wendy Vandenberg KNSSC Secretary

How far is the cabin by snowshoe? How long is the activity for?

Log Cabin from Main Cabin is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour. So, if you are leading a group you should budget 1 hour and 15 minutes. The distance is about 3 1/2 km. Regards, Wendy Vandenberg KNSSC Secretary
