WHAT IS THE STRIDE & GLIDE FOR KGH?
The Stride & Glide for KGH is a week long fundraiser, coordinated by the Kelowna Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Club in support of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation.
Members and guests are invited to sign up for the club's first ever Stride & Glide for KGH! For only $10.00 you can stride and glide on over 130 kilometres of trails in both cross country skis and/or snowshoes. Each participant can record their distance manually, on Strava or the new Avenza Trail Map and then post their results on the Kelowna Nordic Facebook page.
To keep everyone safe during this time, (and to avoid mass gatherings), we have extended the event to be one week long (Feb 14-21, 2021). This gives you the opportunity to complete your distance in a safe manner, all while enjoying the beautiful trails at the Kelowna Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Club!
Choose your goal and plan your route; is 2021 the year you'll push your distance on skis or snowshoes? If it is - then show your friends. With countless routes at Kelowna Nordic that loop around cabins for distances of 6, 12 or 18 Km, the choice and challenge is up to you.
